EPA Environmental Justice
Collaborative Problem-Solving Grant
The Coalition of 100 Black Women was awarded a EPA Grant for the project:
Helping Low-Income Families Identify & Address Hazardous Air Pollutants that Impact Health
The main objective of the EPA Environmental Justice Grant project is to mitigate the negative health impacts of air pollution by promoting Citizen Science, open dialogue, and information sharing regarding air quality; with a goal of promoting a healthy environment. Our goals is to provide education and outreach through civic engagement to empower residents to make decisions that will reduce the severity of respiratory conditions, such as asthma, and the exposure to air pollution in several historic African American communities.
